Overview & Working Principle

Featured AirTAC Standard Pneumatic Control Valve – ASL6-M5

During the piston's return stroke (moving upward from the bottom dead center), the suction valve begins to close as the valve plate moves upward under spring tension until it seals tightly against the valve seat. When both the suction and exhaust valves are fully closed and the piston continues its upward movement, the gas inside the cylinder is compressed, causing the pressure to rise to the discharge level.

Once the pressure reaches the discharge threshold, the exhaust valve plate moves upward against the spring force to open, completing the compression process. After the exhaust valve opens, the cylinder maintains constant discharge pressure until the piston reaches top dead center, fully expelling the gas and concluding the exhaust process.

(Note: The opening position of the air valve is constrained by the lift limiter.)
