Electrical Stability: Grounding and Static in 4V210-08
In industries like plastics or textile manufacturing, static electricity can build up and cause "ghost switching" or PLC errors in your Airtac 4V210-08 control lines.
1. The Grounding Terminal
The DIN connector on the 4V210-08 includes a ground pin. This is not just for safety—it helps bleed off static charges that can accumulate on the valve body during high-speed air flow. Always connect the ground wire to your machine's common ground rail.
2. Surge Protection
When the 4V210-08 coil is turned off, it creates a voltage spike (Back EMF). If your wiring is unshielded and runs parallel to signal wires, this spike can cause interference. Using Airtac coils with built-in surge suppressors (Varistors) is the best way to protect your electronics.
