Solving Signal Delay in Long-Distance 4V210-08 Circuits

Beating the Lag: Long-Distance Control with Airtac 4V210-08

When your Airtac 4V210-08 is located far from the cylinder it controls, you will experience "pneumatic lag." This delay can ruin the timing of an automated production line.

1. The Physics of Delay

Air is compressible. In a 10-meter 8mm tube, it takes time for the pressure wave to travel and build up. The Cv 0.89 of the 4V210-08 is high, but the tube volume is the bottleneck.

2. The Solution: Quick Exhaust Valves

Instead of relying on the air to travel all the way back to the 4V210-08 exhaust ports (R/S), install a **Quick Exhaust Valve (QE)** directly on the cylinder. This allows the air to dump locally, while the 4V210-08 only manages the "fill" cycle. This combination can reduce cycle times by up to 40%.
