Airtac 4V210-08 vs. 4V310-10: When to Scale Up?

Sizing Guide: Comparing the 200 Series vs. 300 Series

Choosing between the Airtac 4V210-08 (200 Series) and the **4V310-10** (300 Series) is a common dilemma for machine builders.

1. Flow Rate Jump

The 4V210-08 has a Cv of 0.89 (1/4" ports). The 4V310-10 jumps to a Cv of 1.67 (3/8" ports). If you are moving a cylinder with a bore larger than 80mm, the 4V210-08 will likely be too restrictive, causing slow cycle times.

2. Physical Footprint

The 200 series is 22mm wide, making it much more compact for multi-valve banks. The 300 series is 27mm wide and significantly heavier. If space is at a premium and your cylinders are 50mm or smaller, stick with the Airtac 4V210-08 for maximum efficiency.
