Advanced Troubleshooting: Sluggish 4V210-08 Movement

The Definitive Guide to 4V210-08 Lubrication

The Airtac 4V210-08 is marketed as "lubrication-free." But as a maintenance manager, you need to know what that actually means for your uptime.

1. Factory Lubrication

Every original Airtac valve is assembled with high-performance lithium-based grease. This grease is designed to stay on the spool seals for millions of cycles without needing replenishment.

2. When to Use a Lubricator (FRL)

If your air supply is exceptionally "dry" (from a high-end desiccant dryer) or if the environment is very hot, adding a mist lubricator (using ISO VG32 oil) can actually extend seal life.

3. The Golden Rule

If you start using an oil lubricator, you can never stop. The oil will eventually wash away the thick factory grease. If you stop the oil mist later, the valve will run "dry" and fail rapidly. At Airtac-Shop.com, we recommend staying oil-free unless your specific application demands otherwise.
