How Tubing Size Affects Airtac 4V210-08 Performance

Sizing Your Tubes: Maximizing 4V210-08 Flow Efficiency

Using the wrong tube diameter with your Airtac 4V210-08 can create a bottleneck that slows down your entire machine. Since the valve features 1/4" ports, choosing the right companion tubing is critical.

1. 8mm vs. 6mm Tubing

While 6mm tubing is easier to route, it can restrict the flow of the 4V210-08, especially in high-speed applications. For maximum power and cylinder speed, we recommend using 8mm OD (Outer Diameter) tubing for the main air supply and the connections to the cylinder ports A and B.

2. Tubing Material Matters

PU (Polyurethane) tubing is the standard for 4V210-08 due to its flexibility. However, for fixed high-pressure lines, Nylon tubing offers better pressure retention and prevents "tube expansion" which can slightly delay the pneumatic signal.
