Connecting your Airtac 4V210-08 to a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is the heart of automation. But do you use Sinking or Sourcing logic?
1. Matching the Output
Most modern PLCs (like Siemens or Mitsubishi) use DC24V Sourcing outputs (PNP). This means the PLC provides +24V to the valve, and you connect the other side of the coil to Ground (0V).
2. Current Draw Considerations
The 4V210-08 DC24V coil draws about 125mA. Most PLC output cards can handle 500mA per point, meaning you can drive the valve directly without an intermediate relay.
3. Surge Suppression
